White men that is. This an issue that keeps coming up again and again in my mind. Now, I personally, have a love for the bruthas that goes way deeper than just the physical. It's just something ABOUT a black man, it can't be bottled and again, in my opinion, no other race has. But in a world where black men, more or less good black men are more rare than Polar Bears. If their not dead, or incarcerated, alot of them (especially here in Atlanta, Georgerrr) are "how you doin'?" if ya know what I mean.
So what is a fly, sophisticated sista to do? Especially once she reaches a certain level of status or education that seems to render black men defensive children. You can't make more than them, you can't be more successful, it just will not do. Your collueges as well as the men in your neighborhood are either married OR white. So...why not? Right? Well WRONG, if your from where I'm from. No matter what, my daddy has told me, NO WHITE MEN! Why? Well I guess it goes against all things progressive to mix races. But wouldn't that be "progressive" within itself???*shrugs* Now given that these men are not fetishing black women and truly just want to find love then my opinion is: Go for it! Do you! Middle finger to all who don't like it!
The dating game is hard out here for a single black woman. The last thing you should do is cut down your prospects MORE by trying to exclusively date one race. We are all people, two eyes, one nose, two ears. All different beautiful colors, ONE RACE. Human. So broaden yourself and horizon and be all inclusive. You'll learn much more about life when the barriers come down. So go 'head, Ms.Chatterbox gives you full permission. Get your swirl on! Make sure you're safe, aware and conscious while dating, but date you must! Have a smorgus board, poo platter of all the beautiful men there are. God bless.
What Up Lil Ms. Chit Chat. Ok now we getting into some things. I have been pondering on this issue more so since having a child who's father is Panamanian. My daughter however, looks like her mother. You know smooth brown skin, nice kinky curly hair, and a pair of soup coolers that are to die for. Anyways, with that being said I've asked myself over and over again can I commit to a caucasian man. Now in my mind a man is a man as a man is a man, but in real life and I say real life there is a difference. There's a certain type of essence about the black man that can't be denied. I've dated white men before when I was young and I never could determine the difference until I was coming of age and really educated myself on our history. It's easy to limit yourself in the society we live in and for that reason I will not do so. My eyes now see beyond color and my mind thinks beyond the words of the world. So if I must I like em white, black, puerto rican and haitian...lol. There is no WHITE POWER, there is no BLACK POWER, there is only SELF POWER. Get with the movement or get left behind.
